5. What is your initial reaction? It’s okay if you don’t like one or both of the works. Sometimes it’s hard to write about art that we do love!

6. Focus on the two artworks. Start by identifying the two art artworks as completely as possible. Give the full names of the artists. What are the titles? What are they made out of? How big are they?

7. Now talk about their subject matter. What do they represent? How do they represent it?

8. After you have described both artworks completely, then compare and contrast them. How are they similar? How are they different?

9. Conclude your essay with a discussion of which of the two selected artworks you prefer, and why? Does either of the artworks give you a new perspective on contemporary art? How does it do that?
